Dear Friends:
My good friend, Karin Martos, will be traveling to Ecuador on her Medical Mission 2009. She is a big advocate in world wide medicine health. Please ready her message and if you could help, please contact her or myself. Thank you - Omar
To all my friends and family,
As most of you already know, I will be heading back to Ecuador at the end of July for another medical mission. The reason for my email is to ask for help to fulfill as much of this list of medical supplies as possible to take to Ecuador to treat patients with. Below is a simplified list of over the counter medicines. I've also attached a much more detailed list including prescription medicines. You can drop off donations to my house or office. Just email me and let me know so we can make arrangements. Please feel free to forward this email to any of your friends and/or family. Any help would be great!!! :-) If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at karinmartos@gmail.com
Thanking you all in advance.

Some travel restrictions to Cuba to be lifted.
The Obama administration on Monday will lift travel and gift restrictions for Cuban Americans, allowing them to travel more freely to the island and send additional financial help to family members. The policy change marks the most significant U.S. gesture to Cuba in decades and comes amid efforts in Congress to lift all travel restrictions to the island. Read More

Miami Beach Attorney Running for Commissioner
Michael Gongora is throwing his hat into the ring. Miami Beach’s first openly gay commissioner plans to run for election again. A seat will be up for grabs later this year because Commissioner Saul Gross is leaving due to term limits.
Gongora served one term from 2005-07. He was the first (and his words the only) openly gay person to be elected to the Miami Beach Commission. To his knowledge, Gongora is the only openly gay Hispanic to win an elected seat in Florida. Read More

Mickey Rourke and other celebrities party with the gays
by Joshua Head Miami Beach Fl, June 17, 2008 ---
Sunday night, South Beach’s hottest Sunday gay night, CLICK, celebrated its one-year anniversary and a successful year it has been. Even movie star Mickey Rourke along with gal pal showed up to celebrate and party with the gays. Rourke, clad in black pants and black leather vest, chatted with his female friend in the VIP area all the while with a smile on his face. Read more at SobeGayInfo.com
CLICK TALK

Click at Deck23 Nightclub celebrated its first year anniversary this past Sunday July 15, and promoters Omar Gonzalez and Dustin Reffca went all out and got together (once again) almost every major mover and shaker from Miami and beyond for the long anticipated celebration. From South Florida fashionistas, business owners and power attendees of all sorts, the list of people in attendance was simply endless. Among some of the who's who of names included: our dear friend and recently appointed Director of Operations at Casa Casuarina Joel Spalding, Hotel Victor's Edgar Farraro, men about town Michael Gongora and Thomas Barker, Eros Productions' Nicole Duguay and Chris Rodriguez, DJ/Producer Daniel Kristopherre, Score's Luis Moreira and Billy Kemp, Halo's Babak Movahedi and Jason Tamanini, real state agent Marcela Benevas, PR maestro David Wylie, photographers Dale Stine and Geo Bustamante, businessman Eugene Rodriguez, optometrist Michael Siebert, Kiehls' Todd Pouliotte, Banana Republic's Jason Hunt, restaurateur Flavio Nisti, professional dancer Ebonee Excell, business owner Miryam Angulo, Latino Boys Magazine publisher Adeilson George, stylist Lidia Mathews and nightlife columnist Josh Head, among palm readers, flame throwers, live animals and all sort of characters. Sorry if I cannot mention everyone, but it it really is a long list! Congratulations to Omar and Dustin, and we wish you many more years to come at Click and other different ventures! www.myspace.com/clicksundays
Thanks to visiting royalty, Dek23 is the winner
BY DAN RENZI
Sunday nights have turned into a battlefield of gay party promoters, with clubs opening homocentric events all around town. But the only Sunday party that matters is Click at Dek23, hosted by promoters Omar Gonzalez and Dustin Reffca.
It's an amazing feat, because they seemed to have the odds stacked against them: The club location (the old Bash) is on a rather unglamorous stretch of Washington, plus there's that $10 cover charge, and God help you if you try to schmooze your way around it. But these hardships just weed out the riffraff. Inside, Click is the the perfect mix: lots of gay, some straight, a smattering of lesbian, all beautiful but not too snotty about it. Add the occasional drag performance, rotating DJs (last week was Tracy Young!) and -- voilà! -- success. Not only is it the best gay Sunday, but also it's quite possibly the best party of the summer. Order bottle service: They light the bottle on fire and dance around the room with it.
Date/Time: Every week Sunday

Drag On
By Patrice Elizabeth Grell Yursik
Published on December 31, 2008 at 3:02am
Relive the gay Nineties every Sunday at Click. In the Nineties heyday, no respectable South Beach club was without its queens — statuesque bombshells taking on bouncer duties at the door, bumping and grinding on the dance floor, posing for photographs, or generally showing up and being showered wit drink tickets just for being so effing fabulous. The scene has lost much of its luster, but thankfully some nightspots still recognize the instant allure a colorful collective of queens can bring. Few parties celebrate Miami drag royalty quite like Click Sunday at Aero Bar. The formula is simple: Take a handful of Miami’s HBICs — Elaine Lancaster, Adora, Chyna Girl, and Misty Eyes, for example — add a handful of celebrity DJs and a smattering of quirky local celebrities (Mickey Rourke, anyone?) and there you have it. The brainchild of Omar Gonzalez and Dustin Reffca has switched venues more times than a showgirl changes wigs. Still, Click keeps on packing in crowds of gay, straight, and whatever-we’re-here-to-party people, Sunday after Sunday. Maybe it’s time you found out why.
